People's Progressive Party Candidate. Washburne was the son of C.W. Washburne, Owner of the Flour Mill. He located in Springfield in 1891 and took over running the Mill. He and his wife were active in the community. Washburne purchased the land adjacent to downtown and sold residential lots from 1905.Collection
