Photograph of skating rink in 1915. Labels read: "Located on the bank of Willamette River at South D Street Springfield, Oregon. This Building Afforded Pleasure for both young and old until the 18" snowfall in 1916" and "1915 Springfield's lovely skating rink on the bank of the river. In the winter of 1916 an 18 inch snowfall caved in the roof and it was never rebuilt at South D St".
The 1907 Sanborn map shows a skating rink on Main Street. It was later moved to this site on the river at South D Street.
