Inscription back: Oregon's McKenzie River is accessible by U.S. Highway 126 which borders it eastward from Eugene. The McKenzie is a favorite with sportsmen, vacationers and natives, many of whom have summer hones, in many cases year-around residences, on the river banks. The McKenzie heads in the snow-capped Cascade mountains and flows westward to the Willamette river near Eugene. Oregon State Highway Commission Photo # 5211
