Varsity Theater from across the street. Marquee says: "Watch for the big grand opening Oct. 2." Businesses on each side are the Hamlin Shockley realtor and a loan office.
edit: Varsity Theater was located at 727 Main St. (now Nautilus Tropical Fish store, between 7th and 8th streets on the south side of Main). It opened in 1947 and closed circa 1956-57, so this image was probably taken circa 1947. -TH 1/6/23
