Alfred/Alfredo Barber, a German businessman is credited with being the first individual to introduce an automobile to Bolivia. In 1904, Barber's importation of the automobile created an interest amongst Bolivians, and soon after, a boom. The Charles Lavy & Co. Ltd. in London was a manufacturer of flint. Note: It is not confirmed that Alfredo Barber is the same individual as Alfred Barber.Collection
