Sophie Silberberg born in Germany, immigrated to the United States in 1938. She lived in Newark, New Jersey until 1970 before moving to Elizabeth, New Jersey. Sophie was a member of Chevroh Kadischah Derech Jeschoroh, the YM-YWHA, Haddasah, and the Unity Club, all Jewish organizations with chapters in and around New Jersey. On May 1, 1973, Sophie passed away. She had two children who survived her, Kurt Silberberg and Lotte Melamed.Collection
