At the right center, a red 12-pfennig stamp depicting Adolf Hitler facing to the right. A cancellation stamp atop it, date reading December 1st, 1944. The foundation is promptly working to update this scan.

Helena Tyszarska mailed the postal card to her husband, Dachau prisoner Tadeusz, on November 30, 1944. Tadeusz Tyszarski’s formular lettersheet to his wife Helena was canceled the following day, December 1, 1944. Very few letters to concentration camp inmates have survived; even more unusual is to see a family’s correspondence in both directions.Collection
