In addition to Der ewige Jude, a second propaganda exhibition titled Entartete Kunst (Degenerate Art) was held from February to April 1938 at Berlin. Modern abstract paintings and sculptures by anti-Nazi artists were attributed to Jewish and Communist influence, and contrasted to the heroic realism of so-called “Aryan” art favored by the Nazis. Above: photo post card of the Vienna anti-Jewish exhibition, portraying Jews as the secret manipulative power behind mass media and finance. Below: commemorative cancels of the Degenerate Art exhibition.
