Overtop, two cancellations dated July 23, 1941 are present. At the center, a pink ink overprint rectangular stamp is present.

The German Propaganda Ministry made every effort to win political support fo the Swiss, disseminating Nazi propaganda at every opportunity, and secretly funding collaborators who promoted the Nazi cause in Switzerland. On July 23, 1941, letter from the Warsaw district of the General Government puppet state in Poland to a legal Polish refugee in Switzerland, censored at Frankfurt, has a boxed red propaganda handstamp across the address, mimicking the Allied “V for Victory!” slogan. The German version reads: “V Germany victorious on all fronts!”Collection
