The tiny Romanian town of Suraia, District Putna, was the location of a Jewish detention camp. It is unlisted in the standard reference, Das Nationalsozialistiche Largersystem. The late Arie Ben David, himself a Romanian Jew and Holocaust mail expert, was unable to find out any additional information about this camp.
