1944, November 30, post card and lettersheet between Tadeusz and Helena Tyszarska.

Context

Helena Tyszarska mailed the postal card to her husband, Dachau prisoner Tadeusz, on November 30, 1944. Tadeusz Tyszarski’s formular lettersheet to his wife Helena was canceled the following day, December 1, 1944. Very few letters to concentration camp inmates have survived; even more unusual is to see a family’s correspondence in both directions.
