1944, Front side - Stamp from Operation Bernhard at Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
White paper with printed green ink overall. A depiction of Joseph Stalin, dictator of the Soviet Union, facing to the left. At the top right and left corners is the Star of David. At the bottom right and left corners is the Hammer and sickle symbol from the Soviet Union. The printed text across the stamp reads "This war is a Jewish war". At the center left is the British Crown with the Star of David resting atop. At the center right is the Hammer and sickle symbol with a five-point star. The dates 1939 and 1944 are present on either side of the stamp.

In addition to the famous counterfeit Bank of England notes made at Sachsenhausen concentration camp in Germany, the Jewish prisoners were ordered to make fake passports, legal documents and propaganda postage stamps of England. The stamps had a Jewish Star of David added on top of the Royal crown. The purpose was for the Nazis to show the world that England was run by and/or under rule of Jewish enemy.Collection
