Upon annexation, Germany’s anti-Jewish laws became effective in Austria. The undated post card is a voter’s identification card for the April 10, 1938, Reichstag election. It notifies the recipient where his polling place is located, and warns that Jews are not permitted to vote. A violator faces severe punishment. The April 29, 1942, post card is a tax notice addressed to Otto Erich Israel Weiniger. Free official mail postage for both. A boxed purple handstamp on the reverse of the voter’s credential records that the recipient had voted.Collection
