Tan post card with German text and border printed in black ink. At the left is cursive handwriting in black ink written from Marie Sara Weiner to recipient Jakob Guttmann in New York. At the top right is a green 5-pfennig stamp depicting President Paul von Hindenburg. The stamp is placed horizontally. Directly to the right is an orange 100-pfennig stamp of President Paul von Hindenburg. The stamp is placed horizontally. Overtop is a cancellation dated August 7, 1941. At the center is a red stamp depicting the Reichsadler. Below is a red stamp placed vertically. At the bottom left is a blue stamp which reads "Mit Luftpost Par Avion" or "By Air" in English.

Both had to be handed to a postal clerk and checked. 15-pfennig outgoing portion of message-and-reply postal card properly paid surface postage to Sweden, canceled March 14, 1941, at Frankfurt, censored at Berlin; 100-pfennig plus 5-pfennig Hindenburg Medallion stamps properly paid post card postage (15 pfennigs), air mail surcharge (40 pfennigs), and special delivery fee (50 pfennigs), canceled July 22, 1941, at Vienna, censored at Frankfurt, arrived at New York on August 7, 1941.Collection
