Original book recording all of the Civil War veterans from the Town of Rossie. Entries are handwritten and include name, residence, place of birth, present rank, regiment, company, enlistment date, muster date and rank, length of enlistment, place of enlistment, race, bounty paid, relief granted to family, marital status, names of parents, previous occupation, promotions, resignations, discharges, and death information, if any. A certificate signed by the Town Clerk is at the back along with an index of names. The book is only partially filled. Covers and pages are loose. Some staining. Front cover has the name "Roy E, Bacon" written in ink at top. Book is stored in an oversized archival envelope.Acquisition
