Softbound survey entitled: "Soil Survey of St. Lawrence County, New York" by Clarence Lounsbury et.al., New York State College of Agriculture. Cover is stamped: "R.E. Simon."Two large maps are folded and attached as part of the survey. Booklet is dated 1925. Inserted within the booklet is a letter addressed to the U.S.Department of Agriculture signed by Robert E. Simon, Resident Engineer for the W.S. Moore Company Iron Ore Mining and Contracting in Newton Falls, NY. Letter requests information concerning ground water conditions and a copy of the aforementioned booklet. Letter is dated August 19, 1957. "R.E. Simon" is stamped throughout the book and on the maps. Includes a brief history of St. Lawrence County, soil types, agricultural statistics, and more. 44 pages, four photo illustrations.
