This book was produced by W.H. Wallace. This extremely large book includes the St. Lawrence Mercury newspapr editions fron the years 1849-1850. The cover of the book which is cardboard has a multicolored marbleized design on it. The newpaper editions in this book are the weekly newspapers that came out on Wednesdays. At the top of each edition under the name of the paper reads, "Devoted to Education, Agriculture, Morals, Literature, and General Intelligence. It is the town of Potsam's paper. Inside front cover reads "Loaned by Mrs. Marion Armstrong"
