Description

Pistol with ivory handle, engraved on pistol is Colt's Patent no. 90002 belongs with 2008.033.005. The pistol is CSA in orgin, 36 caliber 1851 Colt percussion revolver. According to George Porters' family oral history states that he "traded" it with one of Mosby's men. George Porters' unit Company B of the 8th Illinois, spent a great deal of time tracking John Singleton Mosby and his men referred to as Mosby's Rangers.
