Summer Boy Scout troop leaders uniform, consists of a light khaki short-sleeved shirt*, olive shorts, a pair of cotton knee socks and garters to hold up the socks.
*There are several patches on the shirt - over the left sleeve is the patch for the Two Rivers Council, Illinois, over the right breast pocket is the patch for the Glikhikan Lodge 106, over the left breast pocket are several rope patches/badges that mean various things - the red, white and blue is for an Eagle Scout (which is the only badge that can carry over from being a scout to a troop leader), the green badges are for training to be a troop leader, the purple with silver is the Silver Beaver award which is given to top volunteers with the Boy Scouts, and the blue and white badges is for being the top volunteer in the local council (Geneva, Batavia, STC).Lexicon
