Architects rendering painting of the St. Charles High School Auditorium (later known as Thompson High School). When the painting was brought in it was orginally mounted on mat board and framed (mold had started to grow). So it was removed from the frame and the damaged mat board cut off. The removed section of mat board had handwriting on it which read "Submitted by National Decorating Service Hart Bros. System Chicago" "Proposed Decorative Treatment of Auditorium St. Charles High School St. Charles Illinois". Thought for sure to have been painted by Alfred Anderson of St. Charles who worked for the Chicago Co. and lived at the corner of Cutler and 7th Street did painting for E. Baker @ Hotel Baker.Lexicon
