This photo was republished in St. Joseph News Press, May 22, 1960 with following caption:
"This building, now razed, was the livery stable at Agency back in the horse and buggy days. It was later converted into a gas station and garage last operated by Piggoody Leonard in the early 1940s. Looking northwest this view naturally was photographed when high water occurred. The last Johnny Stanton is in the model A Ford."
