The People's Forum discusses the Eighteenth Amendment. The provisions of the 18th Amendment stipulate that intoxicating liquors can only be used for medicinal purposes. It will be observed that there is no specification as to how the medicinal purposes is to be determined. The amendment does not specify that the practicing physician shall necessarily prescribe or determine the necessity of the use of intoxicating liquors for medical purposes.
