Circa 1988 HARLOW'S RESTAURANT 2201 North Belt Highway BLACK-EYED PEA RESTAURANT 2201 North Belt Highway EL MAGUEY MEXICAN RESTAURANT 2201 North Belt Highway The Black Eyed Pea was a Tennessee & Texas chain restaurant with many different dishes. Unfortunately, for some reason, they didn't last very long. After the building had sat empty for a few years, El Maguey Mexican Restaurant opened here and seems to be doing a great business. El Maguey has now opened a 2nd restaurant in St Joseph in 2016.
