Headquarters for INSTRUMENTS. SPLINTS, CRUTCHES and VARIOUS SURGEONS SUPPLIES
You can see the name GARLICH in the front stonework
It was in business for forty Years
In 1879, the St Joseph Business University was also in this building
The 1st YMCA in Missouri was also located in this building
In 1912, the YMCA moved to 10th & Faraon
The Garlich building at 7th & Felix became the Schneider Building
The Federal Bake Shop later occupied the Schneider Building
The Schneider building was razed on May 28, 1975 during Urban Renewal by Bob Madget Construction
The 1st YMCA in Missouri was located at 701 Felix
In 1912, the YMCA moved to 10th & Faraon
The YMCA moved once more to a new location at 6th & Slyvanie
In 2014/2015 a new YMCA was constructed in the eastern part of town
