This postcard is a 1916 photograph showing a June 28, 1916 Preparedness Parade, which happened about a year before the nation entered World War I.
While the corner at Eighth and Felix has changed a bit through the years, the building on the southwest corner still stands, along with all the buildings on the south side of Felix between Seventh and Eighth. The north side is now Coleman Hawkins Park.
