Handwritten postcard from Lela to Mrs R. D. Denicke and family, 219 N. 21st St., St. Joseph, Mo. Post marked 30 Apr 1965, Seattle, Wash., 8¢ U.S. Air Mail and 5¢ U.S. postage. The front of the card is a colored picture of 'The Space Needle is the most dominating feature in the skyline of Seattle. It rises to the height of 600 feet and is topped by a restaurant which revolves 380° every hour. About 260 people can be served. An observation deck and snack service is also ayop the Needle for those who wish to feast mostly on the tremendous scenic panorama. This structure represents a private investment of nearly $4,000,000.Context

I guess your papers will tell of the earthquake we had at almost 8:30 AM - t was pretty bad - we had a few dishes broken - or knocked down. I was just getting up and I had to hold on to the bed to keep from falling - but think God I didn't get hurt - Some tel. can't operate - I'll let you know more - Wilke is out of town in ???
