Abstract Of Title Lot One North Ten Feet Of Lot Two In Kenwood Hgts Extension. The abstract is to Lot 1 and the North ten feet of Lot 2 in Kenwood Heights Extension addition to the City of St. Joseph. This property was owned by John Corby who died May 9, 1870. John Corby left no surviving children nor the descendant of a deceased child and Amanda Corby, his widow is still living. A suit to establish the heirs of John Corby was filed. The case went to appeal to the Supreme Court and was affirmed by that court, the court holding that the petition did not state a good cause of action, and also holding that Amanda Corby had, by the will of her husband, been given a life estate in all the property real and personal belonging to her husband at the time of his death.
Lot 1 and the North 10 feet of Lot 2 in Kenwood Heights Extension Addition, and addition to the City Of St. Joseph, Missouri. was sold to Samuel J. Moorhead and Laura B. Moorhead from Elmer and Nella Brown. After Samuel Moorhead died Laura sold the land to Minnie Rositzky.
Minnie Rositzky sold to Imie L. Garelich and Bess B. Garelich July 22, 1952.
