LAGER BEER YEAST
Bottom Fermenting Pilsner Type
(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)
A special lager beer yeast, Pilsner type, used by world famous lager beer brewers. Ir is grown from a pure culture and is packed under a nitrogen atmosphere in 7 gram envelopes, giving a shelf life (in unopened envelopes) in excess of 18 months at room temperature. After opening, it should be refrigerated if not used within 24 hours. Each 7 gram envelope is enough to inoculate 2½ to 5 gallons of wort. o attain maximum active sell survival, rehydrate the yeast for 10 minutes in a cup of 85° to 90° F. water or wort before inoculation. Temperatures over 100° F. will destroy the yeast activity and temperatures lower than 75° will result in reduced activity and slower fermentation. More yeast can be added of course, to attain a more rapid fermentation. These 7 gram envelopes are 1-9/16" x 3-15/16", packed 60 per tray, 30 trays per carton (1800 envelopes per carton). The envelopes are plain and may be hand stamped with your own label and information.

Use one 7-gram envelopes per 5 gallons of wort. Rehydrate yeast at 100° to 105° F. There 7-gram envelopes are 1-9/16" x 3-15/16", packed 55 per tray, and 30 trays per carton, or 1650 plain envelopes per carton.
