Agency Missouri, Main Street, Looking North, Photos (2), 1947. b/w. Photo of broad street (may be dirt), with commercial businesses on either side. About 1 block long. 1940s-era cars parked at curb. Coca-Cola sign on store on left " Howard's Gro.". Another sign may say "Grinspans Market." 2 copies, #19 is enlargement of #14. dated Dec. 1957, but news article places it in 1947.

A river ford on the old St. Joe-Liberty Road, platted in 1865 and named from the Sac & Fox Indian Agency located there before the Platte Purchase."

" This picture of Agency's main street was taken shortly after the 1947 flood. Note arrow at left which shows how high the water was that year. The post office now occupies one section of this building."
