Allen, S. S. Estate List Of Settlement, 1864. This is the second settlement. The amount due last settlement July 10, 1861 was $10,122.86. Added to that amount was for hire of Negroes in 1861. $75.00. There was an amount of credits $1496.26. The balance due on settlement was $8,701.60.
The amounts are listed on the document accounting for a slave named Patsey who had died since last settlement and does not include some hire for Negroes in 1861 and fees of administrator for the settlement and for Negro Elijah who ran off. The settlement is only intended to cover the items herein set December 18, 1862.
