View to west shows canyon (arrow) in Antelope Mountains through which the riders reached Spring Valley Station and then on to Schell Creek. Nev. 5/1962"
75.2.26 = More close view of above that shows the rock formation more distinctly. Legend: "Antelope Springs, on Tippet Ranch land, about 25 miles west and south from the Deep Creek station at Ibapah, Utah. The spring and station site is three and one-half miles south of the main ranch buildings near a sheep camp. Part of a rock foundation can be seen. The spring still flows but is now capped with concrete with a 2" pipe running water into a reservoir. View to north." Nev. 5/1962"
75.2.28 = View of flat, barren landscape with Antelope Mountains in background. Legend: "View to the southwestward from a rise just to the west of Prairie Gate (Eight Mile) Station. Tippetts Ranch headquarters (grove of trees) can just be seen nearly ten miles to the southwest. The Antelope Springs Station was just past this ranch near the east slope of the Antelope Range. The Pony Express route was at our left nearer the east side of the valley. Nev. 5/1962".
