Antoine Robidoux's Note Saved for Posterity, Article in Museum of the Fur Trade Magazine, Fall, 1979, Vol 15, No. 3. pp. 2-5. On Nov. 13, 1837, Antoine Robidoux had carved a message on Book Cliffs near the Utah/California border, at mouth of Westwater Canyon. The inscription was eroding. An expert in rubber-latex molds of petroglyphs, made an exact duplicate of the inscription which is housed in Utah Museum of Natural History. The article gives a short bio of Antoine as fur trader and his association with Kit Carson, Stephen Lee and others.
