Description

Ardhanareeshvara Statue Ardhanareeshvara is a form of the Hindu deity Shiva (Vishnu) combined with his consort Parvarti (Shakti). Arhanareeshvara is depicted as half-male, half-female, equally split down the middle. The right half is usually the male Shiva and the left Shakti. Ardhanareeshvara symbolizes that male and female principles cannot be separated. It conveys the unity of opposites in the universe.
