This almost nightly occurence continued for 5 years until my sister told a teacher. For many years I tried to understand why a father would do this to his children...as I aged I realized he was a sick individual who needed to show power or control over people. Many years later, his granddaughter told he was abusing her...He commited suicide before the law enforcement could get invovled. Never had I ever been elated that someone was dead.
