Notes

THIS ARTIFACT SHARES THE SAME NUMBER AS AN IRON AX HEAD OF CAYUGA, INDIANA, BUT THE ETHNOGRAPHY SAYS IT IS BRITISH COLUMBIA. NATURALLY, THIS IS SOMEWHAT CONFUSING TO THE RESEARCHER. I BELIEVE THAT THE IRON AX HEAD IS AN ARTIFACT OF THE PERSON WHO CREATED THE MANUSCRIPT IN WHICH IT IS FOUND. FURTHER RESEARCH IS NECESSARY, HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT THE BASKET IS THE ORIGINAL ARTIFACT BELONGING TO 143/5341, NOT THE AX HEAD.
