Cox, Chairman.

Context

Dear College Student Leader or Youth Advisor: In the Land of Lincoln on March 18-20, 1965, there will be two great assemblages of youth leaders, civic, religious, business and labor leaders, and local, state, and federal government officials - all meeting to erase HOUSING DISCRIMINATION practices from America - which practices are now seen as undermining all human freedom and constituting the "largest economic, social, moral and political cost to every American community". Will YOU please make a SPECIAL effort to have representatives from the collages and youth groups in your community and state in attendance at the NATIONAL COLLEGE STUDENT ASSEMBLY ON FREEDOM OF RESIDENCE at EUREKA COLLEGE, Eureka, Illinois (12 miles east of Peoria) March 19-20, 1965. There will be skilled and dedicated speakers and resource leaders present. See program folder enclosed. Housing accommodations at Eureka College are gratis. Meals are a minimum cost. A wealth of material is on hand for the enrichment of every youth leader who comes. Please make an effort now to have a carload of citizens (youth and adult) come from your campus or community to Eureka and Springfield. Let us know if we can count on you. (Call Evanston GReenleaf 5-8866) Sincerely,

Collection
