The comic book tells a story of a run down community and features a Black man named Sam Carter. He is talking to his son and surrounding neighbors explaining the importance of voting. He holds a meeting in the church to describe to the neighbors how to register to vote. When the number of registered Black voters double, the community is visited by Mr Jeff Thompson, a white honest politician running for City Commissioner. He wins the election because of the Black votes, but the people ask how do they know Mr.Thompson will keep his promises. Mr Carter explains he'll have to keep his promises because he can't afford not to if he wants to be re-elected. Sam Carter visits the community 3 months later and there is a new playground, public school and smoothly paved streets. He tells the people to vote regularly in the future.Collection
