Notes

Note on bag reads: Charcoal (wood, grass, fiber) in separated wrappings. These all were associated with the dark Hopewell pot and antler notched roulette tool which Aker dug out of a pit at the north end of this site and within 200 ft of the road. The place is under a flood bome silt. Burned limestone is on the surface especially along the old lake or Platte River meander of ancient times. The pot is dark, has a rochered rim, rounded lip, upper body lobed on 4 sides. Lobes are decorated. The lower section of this double pot is also lobed and the lobes are decorated
