Description

Chasing Lewis & Clark Across America is a fascinating book full of colored photographs taken by the authors, Ron Lowry and Mary Walker, from a light-weight green 2-passenger plane called the Cloud Chaser. The Cloud Chaser, is a twin-engine kit plane designed specifically for photography and slow flight. They are accompanied on the trip by Ron's wife, Sue, Son, Ryan and dog, Jack, who travel by ground with a camper. Included is a lot of commentary about the trip--the route, the plane, problems faced, and what they saw from the plane. Even included are sections by the photographer about the modern-day tools and technology which Lewis and Clark did not have. The subtitle on the dust jacket is "A 21st Century Aviation Adventure." 167/Hardbound/Maps /Photographs.
