St. Joseph Museums

The image is of an old, worn two-dollar banknote featuring elaborate artistic details and text indicating it is from the "City of Saint Joseph." The paper appears weathered, with visible creases and discoloration. The artwork includes a central depiction of three individuals, possibly engaged in agricultural activities, and a portrait of a bearded man to the side. The denomination "2" is prominently displayed in ornate designs on both corners. Additional text on the note states it is "hereto promises to pay to bearer" and references Missouri, suggesting its issuance by a local entity or treasury. The overall appearance reflects historical financial practices and local currency issuance.
