Commerce Club Minutes October 15, 1904 - January 12, 1912. This book contains the handwritten Minutes of the St. Joseph Commerce Club board meetings of directors October 15, 1904 to January 12, 1912. The Commerce Club was a forerunner of the Chamber of Commerce. Record tells of the club efforts to encourage business activity in St. Joseph.
The names of Maxwell, Motter, Wyeth, McDonald, McCord, Calkins and Davis are found among the membership. Discussion of promoting a parkway system is found as well as concerns about the schools and other business pertaining to the city of St. Joseph. The Commerce Club submitted its final report as of December 29, 1911.
