Cookbook: Lee's Cook Book is Tried By All...Bless Their Little Heart's... This book is fondly dedicated to all the good cooks of Lee Apparel Co. Compiled by employees of Lee's Apparel Co. St Joseph, Missouri 1984. History of Company (found on page D) The lee company was founded by Henry D. Lee in October 1889 in Salina, Kansas. Mr. Lee's first operation was the wholesale distribution of grocery, hardware, an clothing items. Because volume done in work clothing , Mr. Lee set up a factory for making garments in 1911. A few years later by special request from a mechanic, Mr. Lee invented the Union-All garment and went on to develop the Lee overall and the famous Lee Rider jean. In 1951 the company divested itself of all interests..... Back and front cover are yellow paper, front with black script and cartoon like illustration of two people cooking wearing bakers caps and one saying "What's it say about mixing?" Black plastic binding.
