2012.21.306Description
Archaeological and Historical Survey of the Proposed Sanitary Sewage Facilities for the City of Elmo, Nodaway County, Missouri, 1977.
An archaeological, historical, and architectural survey was conducted in April, 1977, to determine if any cultural resources would be adversely affected by the construction of the proposed federally funded (E.P.A.) portion of the sewage management facilities for the city of Elmo, Nodaway County, Missouri. This survey consisted of surface investigation (including shovel testing) in the proposed project area and a record search for information concerning any historic and/or prehistoric remains that might be in the project area. No buildings are presently located in the area surveyed, thus no architectural analysis was needed. This survey failed to detect any evidence of significant cultural resources that would be affected by the proposed construction activities.
