Phase II Testing of Archaeological Site 23JA361 within the Proposed Adams Dairy Parkway, City of Blue Springs, Jackson County, Missouri, 1991Description
Phase II Testing of Archaeological Site 23JA361 within the Proposed Adams Dairy Parkway, City of Blue Springs, Jackson County, Missouri, 1991. In November and December of 1990, Saint Joseph Museum personnel conducted archaeological (Phase II) testing at a prehistoric lithic scatter, site 23JA361. The east portion of this site is located within a small segment of the proposed Adams Dairy Parkway, in the city of Blue Springs, Jackson County, Missouri. No diagnostic materials for determining the cultural affiliation of the site were encountered during previous testing investigations. This upland, non-ceramic site proved to be quite shallow in nature and it is doubtful that additional significant cultural information could be obtained with additional excavation. Site 23JA361 does not appear to meet the criteria for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
