Czech Pony Express News Article in St. Joseph MO Gazette February 27, 1987 . On pages 3A-10A the Czechoslovakians stage their own version of Pony Express. The organizers get details and encouragement from two St. Joseph Museums.
The Pony Express is still running--but this time in Czechoslovakia. The commemorative rerun in that country recalls the original Pony Express of Russell , Majors and Waddell which delivered mail in 1860-61 from St. Joseph to Sacramento, CA.
The organizers of the group have been in correspondence with the St. Joseph and Pony Express museums over the past year inquiring about the Pony Express and sharing information about the Czechoslovakian Pony Express with museum personnel here.
