Description
Czech Pony Express Riders on Stetson Hat Tour Snapshots, 1990. Six men from the Czech Pony Express Club traveled to St. Joseph in 1990 to participate in the 130th Anniversary Celebration of the start of the Pony Express. These men also rode with the National Pony Express Association re-ride from St. Joseph west. A tour of the Stetson Hat Factory in St. Joseph was included in their itinerary. Color & b/w photos.
In Czechoslovakia there is an interest club concerning the Pony Express. Club members hold an annual celebration and re-ride in Czechoslovakia mimicking such rides in the United States. The club meets in Mníšek pod Brdy is a town south west of Prague in the Czech Republic, in Central Bohemian Region. The town is part of the Prague metropolitan area.
