Pat Stark opened his first Dairy Queen store on St. Joseph Avenue in 1947.
In 1949, he opened a second one on Mitchell Avenue.
The Mitchell DQ was later moved across the street in 1957.
The King Hill Dairy Queen location opened in 1956.
The DQ stores are among 600 remaining walk-up window Dairy Queens in the United States.
Mr. Stark passed away in 2005.
Tom and Patricia Ashlock are the new current owners.
They are wanting to sell the property in 2015 so they can relocate in another part of town.

This Dairy Queen has been closed now for several years.
Another business is currently occupying the building.
