Desert Storm, Missouri Air Guard Veterans, Homecoming Reception at Pony Express Museum, Photos (6), Dec.7, 1991. color. Snapshots taken at a reception for the returning troops from the Gulf War from the 139th TAG group of Missouri Air National Guard stationed at Rosecrans Field. This group created a Pony Express facade to distinguish their camp in the desert. See 97.1P.597-616 for photos of this elaborate facade. 97.1P.618 = Photo of two C-130 cargo planes flying in sky over top of the Moss home at 9th & Sylvania. The Air Guard came home in a convoy of these transport planes and flew a loop over St. Joseph. 97.1P.619 = Kathy Reno, serves cake to the airmen. She is standing behind the reception table with red/white/blue decorations.
