Description

E Clampus Vitus Plaques is a compilation of historic plaques with photographs dedicated by the Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus 1930-1995. E Clampus Vitus began as a social club for gold miners in the mid 1800s. They were also a social welfare group. For fun they used unusual names and titles. In the 20th century the group was revived as men who were interested in California history. All plaques they have placed are shown in photographs and the text is copied in the book. Book originally given to Jackie Lewin in 1995. 212/Photocopy in notebook/Photographs.
