In Jan. 1932, a shop ran by Katie & Christian Ellinger operated from this address. They were, however, being sued by her son, William, for using that name, which he used for his business at 416 Edmond St. The above are members of the William Ellinger Family, who had established the business operating on Edmond Street about 1880. Evidently, Katie & Christian were successful in this matter as the Sporting Goods Store on Frederick operated until at least 1955, mostly under the management of Christian.Collection
